Get ready for the Lithgow Library Summer Reading Program, Build a Better World! Sign-ups will begin in June. We feel that summer reading is important because children who don’t read over the summer experience summer learning loss. By joining our summer reading program, kids and parents can prevent this from happening. Our program is for all ages, including children and adults!
When you sign up you will get a card to keep track of your reading, a schedule of events that we hope you can attend but are totally optional, and some other goodies.
The goal is to read for 16 hours. Once you have reached your goal, come to the library to claim your prizes and help us build the biggest paper chain ever! Every time a person comes in and shows us that they have finished their summer reading goal, they can add 16 links to the chain. How long can we make it? Readers, help us out!
Schedule of Events:
